A chronically curious and consummately witty creative writer, I am most intrigued by beautiful things that also serve a functional purpose. An immaculate chef’s kitchen with no sink or a marble tiled bathroom with no toilet doesn’t make much sense. Neither does fancy copy with no intent or authenticity.
I’ve held positions in the automotive, sales, customer, and food-service industries, and I borrow insight from those experiences to help me better understand consumers’ motivations and readers’ expectations. I have sold mechanical watches, classic Chevy parts, bedding, cell phones, and office supplies; spilled more than a few cocktail trays; smeared the cheese on a pizza or two; even did a stint as a registered small-business owner and eBay reseller.
Personal passions outside of writing include cars, woodworking, playing the cello, interior design, good ole’ Texas hold-em, and pretty much anything else where creativity and curiosity are rewarded.
I am dedicated to the creative process from conception to execution. While I advocate focusing on the bigger picture, I am borderline obsessed with the finer details.
